Repair process of mid frequency welder electrode [DCS22]
Jan 05,2024
The electrode head of medium frequency welder must be kept clean and neat. Wear or surface damage will come to electrode after usage for a certain period of time. At that time electrode head shall be trimmed by using a copper wire brush, high-quality fine file or sandpaper.
The specific measures are as follows,
Put the flat fine file between the upper and lower electrodes,
start the controller,
start the air cylinder pressure function,
press the foot switch to the bottom,
make the upper and lower electrodes clamp the file,
then pump the file in the horizontal direction to and fro,
release the foot switch after the two electrodes surface get smooth,
reset the upper electrode to its standby position.
Next, the electrode surface is sanded with fine sandpaper in order that the electrode and the workpiece are able to maintain a stable contact.
When the electrode wear is serious, be sure to remove the electrode down, trim and repair it with machine tools.
